What is Replio?
Replio is an AI-powered voice training platform that helps teams practice realistic work conversations. Our AI personas simulate real interactions across eight training domains, giving your team scalable practice opportunities.
How does the voice training work?
You speak directly with our AI personas through your browser - no downloads needed. The AI responds naturally in real-time, simulating realistic customer conversations. Completed sessions end with detailed feedback on your performance, including strengths and areas for improvement.
What types of training scenarios are available?
Replio covers eight training domains: sales, customer support, HR, healthcare, communication, soft skills, military, and language learning. You can also create custom personas based on your specific profiles and use cases.
Does Replio work on mobile devices?
Yes, Replio works on any device with a modern web browser and microphone. The interface is fully responsive on desktop and mobile.
Is there a usage limit?
Yes. Every plan includes a monthly pool of training hours, shared across your organization and sized for intensive daily practice. Each seat contributes hours to that pool. Exact limits depend on your plan; reach out and we'll match a plan to your team size and rhythm.
What's the ideal session length?
We recommend short, focused sessions of about 15-20 minutes, with an 8-12 minute roleplay at the core. Short sessions repeated over time maintain concentration and engagement while allowing immediate feedback. The platform supports both quick practice sessions and longer guided coaching.
How is progress measured?
Replio tracks multiple skill dimensions including rapport building, objection handling, product knowledge articulation, and conversational fluency. Completed sessions generate an AI score with detailed feedback. Managers can monitor team progress through the dashboard.
Can I customize the AI personas?
Yes. You can create personas matched to your business context. Upload your documents, such as product guides or training materials, and the AI incorporates that knowledge. You can also set customer personality types, objection patterns, and difficulty levels.
How do I get started?
It's simple: 1) Create your account, 2) Set up a project: upload documents with Smart Import or answer a few questions about your training needs, 3) Review the personas the AI drafts, 4) Invite your team and start training. Guided setup takes a few minutes.

Questions about your training experience

How do I access my training?
You'll receive an email invitation with a personalized link. Click the link, set a password (or use the magic link option), and you're ready to start practicing. The link is valid for 30 days.
What is the pre-session quiz for?
The quiz activates your prior knowledge before practice - it's not an exam. Based on your answers, the system recommends specific goals to help you improve. Goals marked 'Recommended' directly address areas where you can grow.
How does the AI adapt to my chosen goal?
When you select a goal (like 'Handle objections'), the AI persona adjusts its behavior to test that specific skill. For example, choosing an objection-handling goal makes the AI start skeptical and raise objections early. Your custom goals work the same way.
What's the difference between Exercise and Coach mode?
Exercise mode is free practice - a realistic conversation without interruptions. Coach mode provides real-time tips and feedback during the conversation. We recommend starting with Coach mode to learn, then switching to Exercise for realistic practice.
How long are the training sessions?
There's no hard time limit. Every 15 minutes a checkpoint asks if you want to continue, so you stay in control of the length. Research shows shorter focused practice is often best, but longer sessions are available when needed. Quality matters more than quantity!
What happens after my session ends?
You enter the reflection phase where you see your AI score (1-10) with strengths and areas for improvement, plus a self-assessment prompt. Taking time to reflect improves learning retention.
How are my skills tracked?
Each session measures multiple skills (rapport, objection handling, etc.). Your dashboard shows your progress over time with mastery levels (Novice → Developing → Proficient → Expert) and recommendations for which skills to focus on next.
Can I practice the same scenario multiple times?
Yes! Repetition is key to building skills. Each session is unique because the AI responds to YOUR words, so practicing the same persona multiple times gives you varied experiences.
Are my sessions recorded?
Yes, sessions are recorded for review purposes. You can listen to your own recordings, and managers may review them to provide additional feedback. All data is encrypted and stored securely.
What if the AI doesn't understand me?
Speak clearly and ensure you're in a quiet environment. If the AI seems stuck, try rephrasing your response. The system works best with a stable internet connection and a good microphone.
What is the Weighted Score (WPI)?
The WPI is your overall score, averaged across the skills you've actually practiced and weighted by each skill's importance. Skills you haven't touched yet aren't penalized. They simply don't count until you train them.

Questions about project setup and training management

How do I create a training project?
Go to Dashboard → New Project. You have three options: (1) Smart Import - upload your documents (PDFs, training materials) and the AI drafts the training content for you to review; (2) Guided Templates - answer a questionnaire for Sales, Support, HR, etc.; (3) Custom - describe your training needs in your own words.
How are AI personas generated?
With Smart Import, AI analyzes your uploaded documents to create realistic personas based on actual scenarios from your materials. With templates, personas are generated from your questionnaire answers. Each persona has unique personality traits, objection patterns, and difficulty levels. You can regenerate or customize any persona.
Can I customize the personas?
Yes! You can: select different voices (14 available: 7 male, 7 female), adjust difficulty levels (Easy, Medium, Hard), regenerate personas, and define specific objections or scenarios. The AI uses your uploaded documents to make personas more realistic.
How do I invite trainees?
From your project page, click 'Invite Trainees' and enter email addresses (up to 100 at once). Each trainee receives a personalized invitation with a secure link. You can track who has accepted their invitation.
What is the Training Goals feature?
Training Goals are specific skills you want trainees to develop (e.g., 'Handle price objections', 'Build rapport quickly'). These goals are shown to trainees before sessions and influence how the AI behaves - creating targeted practice scenarios.
How does the quiz system work?
The pre-session quiz tests trainees on key concepts before practice. You select between 5 and 30 questions during project setup. Quiz results highlight knowledge gaps and recommend specific goals. Trainees who miss questions are guided to relevant practice areas.
How can I track trainee progress?
The dashboard shows: rankings by average score, session counts, skill progression, and trends over time. Click on any trainee to see detailed session history, skill breakdown, and areas where they're improving or struggling.
Can I rate trainee sessions manually?
Yes! Open any completed session to add your own rating (1-10) alongside the AI score. You can rate specific skills, add written feedback, and highlight strengths/improvements. Your ratings help trainees understand manager expectations.
What is the Knowledge Base feature?
Upload your product documentation, sales playbooks, or training materials. The AI uses this information to make personas more accurate and generate contextually relevant responses. Supported formats include PDF and text documents.
How does billing work?
Replio uses per-seat subscription billing. You choose a number of seats and an hours tier, and your monthly price is simply seats times the per-seat price. Usage doesn't change the invoice. Each seat is sized for a set number of training hours per month, but those hours are pooled across your whole organization, so heavier and lighter users balance out. A user working on multiple projects still counts as one seat. All costs are included, with no hidden usage fees. Contact us for pricing details.
What happens when training hours run low?
Training hours are shared across your organization as a monthly pool. Each seat adds a set number of hours, and the per-user amount is soft, so someone training a lot simply draws more from the shared pool. If the pool runs low, you can add seats or move to a higher hours tier. The pool resets each billing cycle, which keeps costs predictable while protecting fair use.
Can I have personas with different difficulty levels or customer profiles?
Yes! Each project supports multiple personas with different difficulty levels (Easy, Medium, Hard) and profiles. Create personas representing different awareness levels, from newcomers to well-informed experts. Trainees practice with varied persona types within the same project.
Can I control which personas each trainee sees?
Yes. Persona Assignments let you scope specific personas per trainee. This is useful for progressive paths or role-based training. You can also enable 'Hide Persona Details' so trainees only see persona names, mirroring real customer calls where you don't know who's on the line.
Is Replio GDPR compliant?
Yes. Personal data is stored in the EU (EU data residency), with enterprise-grade encryption, explicit consent management, data minimization, and the right to deletion. Recordings and transcripts are stored securely within the EU. Real-time AI voice is processed by our AI provider and may run outside the EU depending on your configuration, covered by GDPR-compliant data transfer safeguards. How does Replio comply with the EU AI Act?
Replio is designed to support transparency, human oversight, clear AI use disclosure, and secure data handling. Exact obligations under the EU AI Act depend on how an organization uses the product, so teams should assess their own deployment context and legal requirements.
