Integrations

SCORM and xAPI packages for any LMS

Two downloadable packages: a SCORM 1.2 launcher that imports everywhere, and an xAPI package that reports completion and the real score to your LRS.

Who this is for

For LMS administrators who must add Replio to a platform without a link option, or who need completion and scores inside their learning records. Docebo, TalentLMS, Cornerstone, Moodle, SAP SuccessFactors Learning and any LMS with a standard SCORM player import the first package; platforms with a learning record store (LRS) use the second.

Both packages are generated per project from your dashboard. They are launchers: the voice session opens on Replio in a new tab, because it needs the microphone and a full page. Verified on SCORM Cloud, the reference conformance player.

Ways to connect

SCORM 1.2 package

Imports into any SCORM-compliant LMS. Marks the activity completed when the learner launches it. Carries no score and no learner identity: the learner signs in to Replio.

xAPI (Tin Can) package

Your LMS launches it with its LRS endpoint and credentials. After each analysed session, Replio sends a statement with completion and the score to that LRS. New learners are enrolled on launch when the project allows it.

The join link, as an alternative

If your LMS can show a link or an iframe, the join link needs no package at all: learners confirm a work email once and start. See the Moodle and SharePoint guides.

Setup, step by step

  1. Download the package

On the project page, tab Integrations, card LMS package: choose SCORM 1.2 or xAPI and download the zip. One package per project.

  2. Import it into the LMS

Upload the zip as a course or content package, the way you import any SCORM course. The imported course shows the project name and a short description.

  3. For xAPI, trust your LRS

Paste your LRS endpoint URL on the same card in Replio and decide whether unknown learners are enrolled on launch. Launches are honoured only when they come from that LRS with valid credentials.

  4. Launch once as a learner

Open the course from a learner account. The launch page opens Replio in a new tab; the first analysed session reaches the LRS a few minutes after it ends.

Where results land

What your LMS receives depends on the package. Replio's own dashboard always has the full picture.

SCORM 1.2
Completion recorded at launch. No score and no duration: the SCORM runtime cannot see a session that runs in another tab.
xAPI
One statement per analysed session with completion and the score, sent to the trusted LRS and retried until delivered.
Replio dashboard
Transcript, five metrics, coaching feedback, skill trends per learner and exports; the same data is available through webhooks and the API.

Good to know

  • SCORM 2004 and cmi5 editions are not provided. SCORM 1.2 imports into every LMS we have met, including those that also accept 2004.
  • The LRS endpoint must be a public https address. Pin the full URL: multi-tenant LRS services share one host, so the host alone is not enough.
  • An xAPI launch from the trusted LRS enrols an unknown learner like an invitation would: it takes a seat and respects the project's capacity.
  • A SCORM launch carries no identity. The learner must exist as a Replio trainee and sign in; invite them first, or use the join link instead.

Questions managers ask

Why does the session open in a new tab?

A live voice conversation needs the microphone and a persistent connection. Browsers restrict both inside an LMS player frame, so the package is a launcher. Completion is recorded before the tab opens.

Can Replio write the score into the SCORM gradebook?

No. SCORM 1.2 only hears from a page running in its player, and the session runs on Replio. The xAPI package exists for that: the LRS receives the score, and most LMS with an LRS show it in their reports.

Which LRS are supported?

Any LRS that speaks standard xAPI 1.0.3 with basic or bearer authentication. We tested with SCORM Cloud and also connect to Cornerstone's xAPI endpoint for direct server-to-server reporting.

Is there a cost per package or per launch?

No. Packages are included. Sessions draw on your plan's training minutes and seats like any other session.
